Today We will present you a special grape variety, not very famous , because only one region produce this type of grape in Cour-Cheverny, and this is "Romorantin".
We choose "Domaine des Huards" because Gendrier's Family produce wine in Loire Valley since 1856 and they are passionate about their work .
They work with passion and respect their environement, soil , and the earth . We produce biologique red and white wine since 1998 on 35 hectares !
The vine is the older in the region with some aged 100 years !
This exceptionnal grape variety doesn't exist without this extraordinar subsoil ! Indeed with "calcaire sillicieux" the wine is very elegant but powerfull to . Very easy to drink, with fruits , green apple , this wine is the perfect mixed between elegance and structure !
This family product win lot of price , like the vine too.
In its limpid pale yellow , bright , nose, 100% Romorantin old vines , offers a mature complex nose , mixing in an intense bouquet, white fruits , honey keys , mushrooms, puff pastry tip and minerality very present .. Supported by strong minerality and taut frank attack , announces mouth, full , balancing bold, sharp liveliness and beautiful fruit . The finish is salivante at will on purely mineral notes.

This grape variety is not very know and was introduced by Francois 1er and only 50 hecatres produce Romorantin.
