Domaine Renucci - rosé AOC Corse Calvi


Since1850, Renucci produce wine . The vineyard had only two hectares planted with Sciacarellu , niellucciu and vermentinu . In 1855 the family prelate Monsignor Angel -François Renucci , a part owner of the vineyard , offered rosé convents and churches in the area to celebrate Mass .

Since this moment that Rosé and white made ​​the renowned Balagne .

This tradition will be continued until 1960. Mr Joseph Renucci receive the estate in 1952 until 1991 and his son Bernard Renucci become the current winemaker .

No rosé isn't white and red. No all roses are just rosé . For a better comprehension, we asked to a Corscican's to explain that and it's more convincing !

Monsignor Angel -François Renucci offered rosé convents and churches of the Balagne region to celebrate mass. Today is Bernard Renucci , through organic viticulture , which is in communion with its soil. Its deep soils , at 400m above sea level, among olive trees and maquis , between sea and mountains , offer an idyllic location for the wine . The varieties Sciacarellu and Nielluciu (pronounced Tchiakarélou & Niéloutchou ) are , for him , an exceptionnal natural gift .
